Some thoughts about this technique:

- The sense of touch and a sensitivity to the paper is key to success.

- It takes time, cannot be rushed!

- It involves working with a variety of materials: silk, cotton wool, string, water, ink and the objects being printed. See the Tampo pads below, made by hand for transferring ink to paper.

- It leaves a memory of the object embedded in the paper
