Wearable Takuhon

I've been testing out how the Takuhon prints can be used to create a wearable hybrid costume that is part mammal, part reptile, part human, part fish. Ideally I'd like a dancer to wear this and perform with it in the museum, a filmed performance that may include some animated drawings. The museum and the anatomy labs are places where species and parts of bodies are sorted, classified, named according to their taxonomy. My hybrid figure will do the opposite: it will represent the merging of differences, by foregrounding the inter connections between species and suggesting a different way in which Homo Sapiens can understand their place in the natural world.
